Rocko spent the early part of his life as a shelter puppy, but he was adopted quickly when his family instantly fell in love with the cute, scraggly lil’ mutt.  It was on New Year’s Eve 1996.  He looked to be around six weeks old and was covered with fleas from head to toe.
           Rocko has lived in the Piney Orchard neighborhood in Odenton, Maryland, since he was three years old. Although he is now twelve years old, he is still very active. An adventurer at heart, Rocko enjoys long walks through the nature preserve, going fishing (and scaring the fish away), chasing small woodland creatures, and playing with his feline brothers.
           No one can say for sure what kind of breeds Rocko comes from, but everyone agrees it doesn’t matter. He’s highly intelligent, fun loving and full of personality. From his eyes that are full of life, his long furry legs, to the tip of his curly tail, one thing is for sure…Rocko is more than just a dog – he’s 100% a hero.
